First- how'd i get the name CTu?
This is interesting but pretty straight forward. My first name is Correy which explains the C and the Tu is the 2 first letters of my last name. Put all together makes CTu which has a nice ring to it!
Where It All Started
CTU Photography wasn’t always the plan. it grew out of a passion for Modifieds, Late Models, loud engines, and that unforgettable smell of race fuel. I started off like most — just a regular fan, hitting up races and car shows every chance I got. Georgetown Speedway has always been my go to track, and it’s where a lot of this began. Over time, something shifted. Watching wasn’t enough anymore. I found myself wanting to capture the energy — the dirt flying off tires, the emotion on a driver’s face, the split-second action you can only freeze with a lens. That’s when I made the leap from the grandstands to the infield, going from spectator to storyteller. I started providing media coverage for teams, drivers, and fans — and honestly, it’s been the best way to get involved without going bankrupt trying to race a car myself, LOL.
The Vision Moving Forward
The plan moving forward? Well... I don’t have a full blueprint yet, but one of my biggest goals is to travel to different tracks and experience new environments through my lens. I’m planning to add Middleford Speedway to some of my events this year and hopefully more, depending on how the funding shakes out. Trying to balance racing and photography with a full-time job definitely isn’t easy, but I’m doing what I can to make it work. Every free weekend and every open opportunity is a chance to do what I love — and I’m chasing it one shoot at a time.
Closing out
If you’ve made it this far — thank you. Whether you’re a driver, a fan, a fellow creative, or just someone who stumbled across CTu Photography, I appreciate you being part of the journey. This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to see where it goes from here. Be sure to check out the gallery, follow along on social media, and stay tuned for more content as the season unfolds. I’ve got a lot to share — and I’m just getting started.
See you at the track.
